Mangrove: No Ordinary Tree

The Earth is in grave danger. Our planet is greatly affected by current situation of our planet and because of this, different alarms were sent to everybody, but only a few responded. Many organizations encourage people to use less electricity, use environmental friendly things, clean their surroundings and, most importantly, plant more trees. So, various kinds of trees were planted. Backyards, parks, even vacant lots were used for planting to at least control the change we are at.

One of the grown trees here is the Mangrove. Mangroves are tropical trees and shrubs that grow in intertidal areas. This tree has many uses. Traditionally, folks use this tree for flavouring agent, textiles, firewood, medicines, dyes, construction materials and even food. If you think that these things are the only use of mangroves, well, you might want to change your mind. Mangroves are amazing! They have grown in a place where not one plant can ever grow. They can survive in the sea. Mangroves are comprised of salt-tolerant tree and other plant species from a range of plant families. They thrive in intertidal zones of sheltered tropical shores, islands, and estuaries. Mangroves have specially adapted aerial and salt-filtering roots and salt-excreting leaves which enable them to occupy the saline wetlands where other plant life cannot survive.

They not only give people money and food, they also give us the protection from red tide, tsunamis and even the Global Warming. It also stabilizes the soil, protects the soil from erosion, it’s also used for nutrient retention, water quality improvement, flood mitigation, and carbon dioxide absorption which we, humans are releasing.

Undeniably, the Mangrove is no ordinary tree. Although to some, this kind of tree doesn’t matter, Mangrove is a tree that is really remarkable. We need the Earth and the Earth needs us. Plant now while you still have a chance. Let’s plant Mangrove because this tree might be one of the chances that we could hold on to. To save the world and to save ourselves, join us in this advocacy!

Mangrove Planting in Relation to CLIMATE CHANGE..

Nowadays, many schools are having air conditioners. And one of these is the University of Bohol. Because of that, all of us are obliged to plant trees in order to prevent Climate Change.

Climate Change is somewhat 'angry' to us and it is considered as our enemy. This morning, it is raining, and I am sure that this afternoon, it will never be raining again, thus, the sun will now show. The climate is really annoying us, not only for us people, but also to the animals and the plants. Because of climate change, people are having sickness due to the changing of the climate and maybe that sickness will become worst. On the other hand, plants are surely going to die if Climate Change will never stop and also to the animals too, because of the extremely heat of the angry sun and the dying cold of the rain.

We are obliged to plant trees because as we all know, air cons give out carbon dioxide and if we are not going to plant trees, our dear ozone layer will be having a big hole until that the day will come that there will be no ozone layer that would protect us from the UV rays.

For me, each one of us should plant trees like 5-10 trees so that we can avoid the climate change. And of course, the tree that we should plant is Mangrove because Mangroves have some capabilities that the other trees can’t do it and Mangroves can prevent tsunamis so maybe that’s why the reason why Mangrove trees are planted.
If we don’t like to have climate change, then we should take care our beloved Mother Earth so that there would be no consequences that we will be suffering.

CLIMATE CHANGE RELATED TO MANGROVE PLANTING

Global Warming is the effect of what people had done in their everyday living. But some of us really don’t know that it existed now especially those who abused the nature that could save our lives. It can easily be seen by our naked eye and so we should and immediately plan to solve these cases.

Mangroves are one aid to help climate change in exchange with fresh and clean air which we need as humans. We don’t know that these mangroves are the habitats of fishes in our seas which is also being consumed by people. In addition to that, they can also be an absorbent of unwanted gases in our surroundings like carbon dioxide (CO2). As students here in University of Bohol Day High School, planting mangroves is the best way to solve the problems regarding the use of air conditioners in every classrooms. Because it gives off CO2 then we only need a place to plant more of them. Then once we know how to and where to, we could be a model for some departments in this school and others may share it with other students especially who are using the kind of classrooms. And we might not know we could be the start of something new.

It is not easy to discover new things that will change the behavior of our climate instead it is easy to help the world stand for a better change. Let us help contribute the good things that mangroves will bring to us. Now is the time to plant mangrove trees to stay away from climate change…

Kailangan nating magtanim nang mangrove para maiwasan ang paglaki nang ating ozone layer. Dahil ang ozone layer natin ngayon ay lumaki dahil sa pabaya nating mga tao. It is important to plant trees and other mangroves to save mother earth. Whenever you cut trees it is important to replace it. GMO or Genetically Modified Organisms destroy or really affect our mother earth, yet it help us but it harm also us not only us but also to our environment specially our mother earth. To avoid these things, we should plant mangroves. Not only cutting trees affect our mother earth but also the pollution that we bring such as burning plastics or other that makes our air polluted, throwing garbage anywhere or throwing garbage in the sea may pollute the water and can spread disease and the fishes and other mangroves living in the water will harm and die.


When we drive vehicles that are or that needs petroleum or gasoline like tricycles, motorcycle, cars, etc. we give or bring the environment or air polluted. We can help our mother earth or lessen the pollution of the air by walking or riding bike.

As DHSian I pledge/promises to:

So we should start planting more mangroves, to save our mother earth. And to have a good climate and to have a good life.

Climate change? This is, what people now considering as the reason ,why we have climate change. This is, because we didn’t care on what’s happening in our surroundings. One thing, for you to know, how to prevent this is to plant mangrove trees.

As far as we know, mangroves are plants which grow in salty water. It also protects fishes and other spices who lives in the sea area. It is also the place where the breeding of fishes begins. It is really important, because without it, maybe it is already the end of the world. Because, what I have understand to it is, if trees that grow on soil, Humans will cut it. If in the sea, it is quite hard for them to cut, And when it is planted in the sea, fishes and other species on the sea can benefit it.

Look at your surroundings, your environment, and think not just twice but thousand times what happen to it and why is this happening? Haven’t you notice how weather plays with u everyday? Well it seems that weather is playing with us right?

Weather nowadays are apparently hard to understand because sometimes in the morning there will be rain and when noontime comes, we can see sun up in the sky, smiling again; well if it will last for a long time then we can say that “Ohh! Here we go again, Climate change!” Climate change brings much advantage to us, well not just us but the environment as well. Climate Change is one of the problems that the world is facing cause we are living in one world, we are responsible in solving these problems….let u be one and at least in little ways we can help something for the phenomenon. Mangrove planting is one of these, may be from these we can help caue as what I have heard mangrove are very useful not just for aquatic lives bur for us also…it can prevent red tide that may lead to pollution…and will end up to climate change. Lets work and be one for our own good. It’s not too late yet…lets serve the world for the world is needing us!!!

CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate Change due to the excess of the carbon dioxide and oxygen in the atmosphere. Modern technologies such as air conditioners, spray, pesticides, insecticides, burning of wastes of some factories can cause climate changes in the atmosphere. Usually people, we are the center of this changes. Modern technologies are made by the people but because of over using and uncontrolled of these things it damages the climate in the atmosphere. Aside from modern technologies, mangrove plants cause climate change in the atmosphere also. A million of mangrove plants were planted, a cause of some changes in the atmosphere where people also may suffer. A lot of changes such as unpredictable typhoons, rains, great heat of the sun where it causes a lot of illness and sickness to some people. Though we can’t prevent this, what we have to do is to keep them preserve properly and balanced with control. Of course, we don’t have to keep them away for that things are part of our nature and to Mother Earth.

Ang pagtatanim ng mga puno o halaman ay makakatulong sa ating kapaligiran. Tulad ng pagkakaroon ng pagbaha kaya sila binaha dahil halus wala silang tinanim na puno o halaman. Kung magkakaroon din sila ng baha halos wala din silang makain dahil nga hindi sila nagtatanim ng mga puno. Iwasan natin ang pagkakaroon ng baha sa pamamgitan ng pagtatanim ng mga puno o halaman. Alagaan natin ang ating paligiran at an gating sarili para hindi tayo magkakaroon ng baha dahil kung may baha natin maiiwasan ang pagkakaroon ng sakit.

          Climate change is related to mangrove planting because people, now a days are using air conditions that produce carbon which can affect our ozone layer that’s why to prevent the damage or not to prevent but to lessen the damage of the ozone layer we can or could plant trees like mangrove. Why mangrove ? . for me I think that it is mangrove to be planted because if we do plant trees after many years it will be cut by people. Also mangrove grow in the seashore or in water with soul (river , lakes ) . In this people will not cut it because people will never build a house in the sea also it can be advantage to the fishes. They can lay their eggs there and live there also it can produce beauty to the seashore and if you want to see it more beautifully you can ride in a banca and have a look explore to the beauty of mangrove. Also like ahmm… where , but they use the mangroves as a tourist spot so mangroves is just an ordinary not so beautiful or a plant that has our concern about it has a great contribution to our mother earth.
